I want a job.
Many of the
people we support are gainfully employed. Employers have seen that hiring people with abilities, despite their disabilities, is mutually beneficial and rewarding.
We help people to set job goals, develop the needed
skills, and then to go out and find their job. Follow
up coaching is provided as needed.
Living Innovations recognizes that living as independently as possible can mean holding a job, paying bills, and putting something away for vacation or a rainy day.

Career Development Services
- Individual Inventory: We work with the job seeker and their support team to complete a comprehensive inventory of: work history, education, strengths, weaknesses, and interests. This information becomes the basis for a job development plan.
- Job Development: The job seeker works with a coach to identify and contact prospective employers with opportunities that could be a good fit. Interviews are scheduled with those employers, and the coach provides training and facilitation as needed.
- Partnership for Success: Once the employer has hired the person, we work with the parties through on- and off-the job support. The coach is available to assist in orienting the person to the work place and job; provide on-the-job training; and to helping to resolve any initial problems, and being available as needed on an ongoing basis.
