Services for Children and Families
Living Innovations, in concert with families and other involved parties, recruits, hires, trains, and supervises staff to work with children and families to build skills in areas of behavior management, activities of daily living, self-help, and self-care. We work with a team, including the parent/guardian to develop a plan of care for the child that is based on an assessment of the child's needs. Many of the children we serve are eligible for Medicaid funding.
Who can receive the services under Medicaid?
- Children who have Medicaid; and
- Are age birth to 20; and
- Are diagnosed with mental illness or mental retardation; or
- Are diagnosed with autism; or
- Have a pervasive developmental disorder that cannot be managed by the parent; or
- Have at-risk behaviors and at least one of the parent's experiences emergency crises (under certain circumstances).
What are services provided?
Services are provided in the child's home and in the community, as identified in a plan personally designed for each child.
Services provided by Living Innovations not paid for by Medicaid
- Babysitting or respite or child care
- Social and recreational
- Transportation
- Home Health Care
How are services arranged?
Many of the services described above are provided on referral from a Service Coordinator at a state or private case management agency, or from a doctor. Parents and guardians may call Living Innovations directly. A Coordinator will come to your home for the purpose of assessment that will help the family determine the kind and amount of service that is desired.
